Robert Williams is a state and local government affairs strategist working at the intersection of innovation and public policy. As a vice president at Stateside Associates, he supports a portfolio of clients in technology, telecommunications, AI, fintech, and next-generation infrastructure. He previously served in the Biden administration's Commerce Department as deputy director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. At NTIA, he helped guide the launch and implementation of more than $48 billion in “Internet for All” funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to close America’s digital divide. He brings over a decade of experience advising political and business leaders from roles at the National Conference of State Legislatures, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, and as a lobbyist for a top global law firm.
