Mark Pennypacker brings nearly two decades of experience in government affairs technology, information services, and business leadership. Prior to joining Stateside, he spent more than 16 years with The Soft Edge, a government relations technology company, where he held a number of product and executive leadership roles before serving as president. During his tenure, he led product strategy, technology, sales, marketing, and operations. He also helped develop new software and information products for government affairs and advocacy professionals.

More recently, Mark founded Legislature Labs, where he worked with associations, nonprofits, and government affairs organizations on legislative intelligence, advocacy technology, data, and organizational strategy.

Throughout his career, Mark has focused on how technology, data, and high-quality policy information can help government affairs professionals better understand and respond to activity across state and local government.
