Regional Government Affairs Manager – West & Midwest

Stateside is hiring a Regional Government Affairs Manager to lead strategic engagement across Western and Midwestern states. If you’re a seasoned policy expert with deep knowledge of state-level technology issues and a passion for influencing outcomes, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

This position is remote and reports to the Senior Vice President, Government Affairs & Strategic Growth and collaborates closely with both internal operations and client-facing teams.

What You’ll Do:
Dedicated to one of Stateside’s high-profile clients, this crucial role will:

  • Monitor and analyze legislation and regulations across Western and Midwest states
  • Focus on emerging tech policy: AI, data privacy, content moderation, energy
  • Develop and execute policy strategies, draft legislation, and prepare testimony
  • Build relationships with elected officials, agencies, and key opinion formers
  • Coordinate with contract lobbyists and internal teams
  • Submit weekly summaries and lead briefing

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years in technology policy, law, or regulatory affairs
  • Experience drafting and redlining legislation
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Ability to align public policy with business strategy
  • Experience managing lobbyists or working in state government
