Director, Marketing and Business Development

Position Overview

Stateside Associates seeks a dynamic and results-driven Director of Marketing and Business Development to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through effective business development strategies and innovative marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic thinking, leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in business development and marketing.


Business Development

  • Support the Business Development Manager throughout the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring seamless and efficient pipeline management.
  • Identify client and prospect trends to inform strategic decision-making and optimize business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to develop and execute comprehensive business development plans aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for maintaining a CRM database (HubSpot) of potential clients and existing prospects.


  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to generate leads and increase brand awareness through multi-channel marketing efforts.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create compelling content, campaigns, and materials that resonate with target audiences and drive engagement.
  • Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing and business development efforts, and adjust strategies as needed to optimize performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Responsible for maintaining a CRM database (HubSpot) for marketing efforts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8 – 10 years of experience in business development, marketing, or a related role, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, marketing automation tools, and other relevant technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to dive in and assist with copywriting, email creation, and creative design, as needed.
