Mark Anderson facilitated a client's annual groups outreach meeting. Michael Behm assisted a client with identifying legislators to sponsor legislation on its behalf. Jake Hegeman identified the status of enactment for a model law in 50 states on behalf of a client. Steve Arthur participated in the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) meeting on Disaster Preparedness and the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) Winter Meeting on behalf of clients. Mark Anderson and Heather Williams attended the Democratic Governors Association (DGA) Winter Policy Conference in New York on behalf of clients. Connie Campanella recommended lobbyists in 6 states for clients and participated in an ethics training webinar for a client’s sales team. Robert Holden advised a client commenting on the Federal Essential Health Benefits Bulletin. Samantha Holvey reported on campaign finance and gift rules addressing mayors for a client. Graham Grossman worked to produce Social Media Monitoring Snapshot reports based on the issue monitoring needs of clients. Beth Giambrone participated in a client discussion about state legislative strategies.

ARIZONA

The Senate Committee on Commerce and Energy will meet February 1 to discuss S.B. 1278, which requires restaurants to prominently display a poster regarding the health risks of an allergic reaction to food in the main restaurant staff area and include a notice of the customer's obligation to inform the server about any food allergies on all menus. INDIANA

MISSOURI

The House Health Insurance Committee will meet January 31 to discuss H.B. 1199, which prohibits an insurer from requiring any waiting period for health insurance coverage for maternity benefits and requires coverage to begin immediately from the effective date of the policy or plan. NEBRASKA

The Transportation and Telecommunications Committee will meet January 30 to discuss L.B. 875, which prohibits driving while using wireless communication devices in school crossing zones and construction zones. Julie Brown at jb@stateside.com

The Banking, Commerce and Insurance Committee will meet January 30 to discuss L.B. 964. This legislation adopts the Nebraska Money Transmitters Act, which prohibits a person from engaging in money transmission without a license. Julie Brown at jb@stateside.com

NEW HAMPSHIRE

The House Education Committee will meet January 31 to discuss H.B. 1516, which addresses requirements for English instruction and assessment for students in kindergarten through third grade. David Frantz at daf@stateside.com

NEW JERSEY

The Senate Energy and Commerce Committee will meet January 31 to discuss S.B. 81, which prohibits a health care institution from disposing of unused medication into a public wastewater collection system. Laura Evans at lae@stateside.com

NEW YORK

The Senate Transportation Committee will meet January 30 to discuss S.B. 2903B, which requires that anyone under 21 who is convicted of an alcohol-related boating offense obtain a boating safety certificate before operating a vessel. Julie Brown at jb@stateside.com

The House Transportation, Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee will meet January 31 to consider H.B. 378, which requires the cancellation of an undocumented alien’s driver’s license and voter registration if the person is arrested and identified as an undocumented alien by a federal fingerprint database. The House Health Care and Wellness Committee will meet January 30 to discuss H.B. 2495, which prohibits pharmacists from substituting opioid analgesic drugs for an opioid analgesic drug incorporating a tamper resistance technology without verifying equivalence or obtaining the written, signed consent of the prescribing physician.
