Delaware
Delaware will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. The offices of Governor and Lieutenant Governor are among those contested. All 41 seats of the Delaware House of Representatives are up for election in 2008, as are 10 of the State Senate's 21 seats.
State Treasurer Jack Markell (D) and retired Superior Court Judge William Lee (R) are challenging one another for the office of Governor.
Matthew Denn (D) and Charles L. Copeland (R) will face one another for the office of Lieutenant Governor.
Indiana
Indiana will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. The offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General are among those contested. All 100 seats of the Indiana House of Representatives are up for election in 2008, as are 25 of the state's 50 Senate seats.
Governor Mitch Daniels (R) will face former Congresswoman Jill Long Thompson (D). Lt. Governor Becky Skillman (R) will face Dennie Oxley (D).
Linda Pence (D) and Greg Zoeller (R) are challenging one another for the office of Attorney General.
Missouri
Missouri will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices, including Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General. All State House of Representatives seats and all odd State Senate seats are also up for election.
Attorney General Jeremiah (Jay) Nixon (D) will face U.S. Representative Kenny Hulshof (R) in the Governor’s race. In the Lieutenant Governor’s race, incumbent Peter Kinder (R) will face State Representative Sam Page (D).
Competing for the office of Attorney General are State Senator Chris Koster (D) and State Senator Mike Gibbons (R).
Montana
Montana will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices, including Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General. All of the State House of Representatives seats and half of the State Senate seats are up for election.
Governor Brian Schweitzer (D) and Lt. Governor John Bohlinger (R) are running on the same ticket for re-election. Their rivals are State Senator Roy Brown (R) for Governor and Steve Daines (R) for Lieutenant Governor.
In the Attorney General race, Steve Bullock (D) and Tim Fox (R) will face one another.
Montana’s voters will consider several ballot measures, including L.R. 118, which continues the six mill property tax on all real estate and personal property, and I-155, which establishes the Healthy Montana Kids Plan to expand and coordinate coverage for uninsured children and which allows for the increase in income eligibility levels for children under the Children's Health Insurance Program and Medicaid.
New Hampshire
New Hampshire will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. The office of Governor is among those contested. All 424 seats in the State Legislature are up for election.
Governor John Lynch (D) is running for re-election against State Senator Joe Kenney (R).
North Carolina
North Carolina will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. The offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General are among those contested. All seats in the State Legislature are up for election.
For the office of Governor, Lt. Governor Beverly Perdue (D) is vying against Patrick McCrory (R). Walter H. Dalton (D) and Robert Pittenger (R) are competing for the office of Lieutenant Governor.
Attorney General Roy Cooper (D) is running for re-election against Bob Crumley (R).
North Dakota
North Dakota will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. The offices of Governor and Lieutenant Governor are among those up for election. All seats in the State House of Representatives and State Senate are up for election as well.
The incumbents, John Hoeven (R) and Jack Dalrymple (R), will face State Senator Tim Mathern (D-NPL) and Merle Boucher (D-NPL).
Ohio
Ohio will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. All seats in the State House of Representatives and the even seats in the State Senate are up for election, as well as the office of Attorney General.
State Treasurer Richard Cordray (D) and D. Michael Crites (R) are competing for the position of Attorney General.
Several measures will be on the General Election ballot for consideration, including Issue 3, which amends the Constitution to provide that certain groundwater may not be held in trust by any governmental body, and Issue 5, which places certain requirements on all short term lenders, including check cashing lenders.
Oregon
Oregon will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. All of the State House of Representatives seats and half of the State Senate seats are up for election, as well as the office of Attorney General.
For the office of Attorney General, John Kroger is running on the Democratic ticket and has received the Republican nomination as well through write-in votes.
Several measures will be on the General Election ballot for consideration. Among them, Measure 63 exempts residential and farm property owners from certain building permit requirements if making improvements totaling $35,000 or less, and requires certain electrical work to be performed, or inspected and approved, by a licensed electrical contractor. Measure 64 prohibits money collected with the use of public resources from being used for political purposes.
Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. All House of Representatives seats and the odd Senate seats in the State General Assembly are up for election, as well as the office of Attorney General.
In the Attorney General race, incumbent Tom Corbett (R) will be challenged by John M. Morganelli (D).
Utah
Utah will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. The offices of Governor and Lieutenant Governor are among those contested. All of the State House of Representatives seats and half of the State Senate seats are up for election.
Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. (R) and Lt. Governor Gary R. Herbert (R) are running against Bob Springmeyer (D) and Josie Valdez (D).
In the Attorney General race, incumbent Mark L. Shurtleff (R) faces Jean Welch Hill (D).
Vermont
Vermont will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. The offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General are among those contested. All 150 State House of Representatives seats and all 30 of the State Senate seats are up for election as well.
Governor Jim Douglas (R) is running for re-election against Speaker of the House Gaye Symington (D) while Lt. Governor Brian Dubie (R) will face Thomas W. Costello (D).
Attorney General William H. Sorrell (D) will run for re-election against Karen Kerin (R).
Washington
Washington will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. The offices of Governor and Lieutenant Governor are among those up for election. All State House of Representatives and all State Senate seats are up for election as well.
Governor Christine Gregoire (D) is running for re-election against former State Senator Dino Rossi (R). Lt. Governor Brad Owen (D) will face Marcia McCraw (R).
During the General Election, voters will consider several ballot measures, including Initiative Measure 1029, which increases training and background check requirements for long term care providers.
West Virginia
West Virginia will hold a General Election for statewide constitutional offices. The offices of Governor and Attorney General are among those contested. All 100 of the State House of Delegates seats and 17 of the 34 State Senate seats are up for election.
Governor Joe Manchin III (D) is running for re-election against Russ Weeks (R).
Attorney General Darrell McGraw, Jr. (D) will face Dan Greear (R).
