Josh Veverka attended the National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators annual meeting in Madison, Wisconsin. Stefani Millie helped a client prepare for the upcoming National Association of Counties Annual Conference and Exposition. Robert Holden drafted comments on behalf of a client in response to a pending state licensing rule revision concerning health care professionals. Jeannette Lowe prepared a report on carryover legislation for a client. Steve Arthur provided a client with recommendations for a state lobbyist. Connie Campanella updated our “How to Manage a State Government Relations Program” curriculum for a new client.

NORTH CAROLINA
The Senate Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Committee will meet July 7 to discuss H.B. 1100, which directs the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to establish stormwater control best management practices and standard process water treatment processes for composting operations for the purpose of protecting water quality; and S.B. 1068, which establishes a system of permits to be issued by the Department for the siting of wind energy facilities.
