Civil Justice Reform, often referred to as Tort Reform, has been a lively issue in state legislatures since the mid-1980s. Stateside Associates and its Principals have been involved since the very beginning in almost all aspects of the reform movement, and in many of the successes recorded in state legislatures over the past fifteen years. There are three main elements of a successful state Civil Justice program: timely intelligence about legislative proposals; issue management; and, perhaps the most important element -- successful involvement in the electoral process. That arena includes judges, state legislators, Attorneys General and Governors.
